The high rock

Travel gives us an opportunity to explore different cultures and people’s way of living. Visiting Turkey was no different. After spending few years in shadow of pandemic, staying in surreal views of Capadoccian valleys was extraordinary. We saw many valleys formed by volcanic eruption. The soft rocks have taken some exceptional shapes. Nature’s creation at its best. People in ancient days carved caves to live in these soft rocks. I was mesmerized by this one particular big rock formation called Uchisar Castle. What a stunning and magical view it was from the bottom of the castle. The snowfall from the previous night had taken its beauty to the next level.

I enjoyed painting this landscape without brush for most of the part. Painting directly with fingers was so much fun. I have also used some other tools like sponge, toothbrush to achieve all these beautiful textures.
