Nature’s palette
One doesn’t always need a big idea to create art, but one needs to have ability to create art from something small. Inspiration can always be discovered within the ordinary moments of daily life, you just need to have an eye for it. I have always found nature intriguing and inspirational. But for that we don’t have to be in the presence of nature all the time. It is always around us in little things in our homes.
Other day I found one small idea on the chopping board in the kitchen, to create this vibrant painting. What a lovely riot of reds and oranges inside a FIG and to make it even more beautiful a contrast of purples and greens on the outside. I have always wondered how nature has managed to create such marvellous patterns, different shapes and color combinations.
I tried to capture the texture of a fig with a twist of golden strokes. Many tools were used to create this artwork. I have used brushes, palette knife, threads, my favorite pottery tool and sometimes when I was not happy with any tool I have just used my fingertips.
